Essence is almost more of a thought experiment than a game and that's not a bad thing! It follows the walking simulator formula of a minimalist gameplay loop and combines that with some thought provoking quotes concerning death and life. As you trudge on, a creation in an endless stream of creations, your only goal is to reach the end, which comes with an emotional finality. I'd recommend taking the time to play this game and doing so with an open mind.
